At Messaging Me, we've once again been won over by Bouygues Telecom 's Christmas campaign using WhatsApp, now in its 3rd year. What impressed us:
1️⃣ A unique user experience.
2️⃣ In-depth personalization for each individual.
3️⃣ The originality of using WhatsApp, a platform little exploited for advertising despite its 46 million monthly users in France.
Let's imagine an even more innovative Christmas 2024 campaign for Bouygues Telecom: our strategy would be to boost the messaging channel by choosing RCS to complement WhatsApp. Why would we do this? Because 2024 marks a crucial turning point for the French telecom industry, notably with the advent of interoperability between Google' s RCS andApple's iMessage. Using RCS in addition to WhatsApp for Bouygues Telecom's next campaign would enable us to test the two most important messaging platforms in France in real-life conditions, and provide comprehensive feedback.
We would go a step further by integrating CRM engagement via messaging. After receiving a personalized video from Santa Claus, why not offer customers the possibility of receiving tailor-made offers from Bouygues Telecom directly via messaging?
We'd also be moving towards conversational commerce. After drawing attention to the campaign, we could generate interest in Bouygues Telecom's Christmas offers, which could be accessed and subscribed to directly via messaging, with the support of customer advisors specialized in managing this form of communication.
We're asking messaging specialists and operators such asOrange, SFR, iliad Free, and of course Bouygues Telecom for their opinion. What do you think? And from Google, WhatsApp and Apple, what's your take?
